How to migrate from Jimbo App to Jim’s Jobs

Jimbo App for Franchisees will be retired on 9th July 2021.

How to migrate from Jimbo App to Jim’s Jobs:

Data Import (General)

You can only use the Jim's Jobs Data Import Tool for ONE IMPORT and from ONE source.

  • That means if you want to use re-import afterwards, you’ll need to ask infotech to wipe your existing data.

  • If there were invoices imported which have been created for payment records without any invoice. They will get -1 as invoice number so you can distinguish them

To start the data import process:

  • Log in to Https://jobs.jims.net on your computer (not a tablet or a phone)

  • Click on SETUP

  • Click on Data Import Tool.

  • Click Select Source

  • Select Jimbo as the source.

How to export Quotes, Invoices and Expenses from Jimbo:

  • In Jimbo, there is an option to export Invoices, Quotes or Expenses into CSV format. This can then be used to import into the accounting package.

  • There are limitations to this as different accounting packages have different data formats. In order to import data from a CSV file into a particular accounting package, the columns of data need to match the format of the accounting package. Please see your accounting package's help guides for more information.

Using Jimbo on the Web

  1. Select the Invoices icon

  2. Select Quote (or Invoice to export Invoices).

  3. Ensure all filters are off by clicking the filter tab (bottom left) and make sure the search fields are blank.

  4. Close the filter tab.

  5. Click CSV to export all Quotes (or Invoices if that was selected) as a csv file.

    1.

  6. To export Expenses, open the Expenses screen and click CSV at the bottom of the screen.

Jimbo and iPads:

  • As you may be aware, Jimbo hasn’t been fully compatible with iPads since iOS 8 and was getting worse per iOS release.

  • It became 100% incompatible with iOS 11.

  • If you still have an iPad on an old iOS version, Jimbo may keep running on it but NO DATA will be synced to the cloud and there will be NO WAY to retrieve the data from your iPad.
