Domains, Websites, API's and Email account information for new divisions.

Domain names

Domain names are to be registered, owned and managed by Jim's National InfoTech.

From here we can point the domains DNS to where we'll host the DNS records for the division, even if not hosting their website and/or emails. This gives us better management of domain names and DNS.

For domains that we are not the registrar for, these should be transferred to us.

Websites

Read this for hosting costs explained. Website & Customer Booking

The incoming divisional FSO must contact InfoTech prior to building their site regardless if InfoTech are building or hosting the site.

See here for more info about websites builds and the forms that must be used.

Check out our Digital Garage link below for more info about websites, SEO and other website-related information to help you understand what's best for your site.

APIs

Several divisions request API connection to/from FMS.

These requests are scoped and added to the developer's backlog to be prioritized by Jim.

Emails

  • It is preferred that InfoTech host & support email accounts for new divisions.
    • InfoTech must collect the Email Fee if we manage and support the division's email.
  • Should you wish to use a platform not hosted by Infotech you can do so at your own cost.
  • Since 2023, emails for new divisions have been hosted with M365 (Microsoft Mail)
    • Previously we used a 3rd party email host using IMAP technology.
