Before starting a franchisee Franchisee the documents team Documents Team must receive either a police check or a completed (DOC002) statutory declaration.
Jim's Group prefers a police check instead of the declaration to start a franchisee.
Reason being is that some franchisees have started by submitting a statutory declaration only. When for all directors, managers and people involved in the business and operation of the Franchise.
Previously Franchisees were able to start from a statutory declaration while organising a police check and waiting for it to come through. Due to some franchisees starting and later when we have received their police check it has shown numerous offences which has resulted in Jim's Group terminating their franchise agreement. To avoid this, we highly recommend you submit a police check for all new franchisee contract requests to avoid thisshowing numerous offences we will no longer accept stat decs and require the police check prior to starting.
The only time Documents Team will accept the statutory declaration instead of a police check is if the Franchisee has ordered their police check through our preferred supplier (who has a 24 hour turn around on most police checks) and they have received an email confirmation confirming there has been a delay on the police check. Documents Team require the statutory declaration (template below) and email confirmation of the delay to be forwarded through to them.
