FMS5 - Areas Editor user guide
The existing functionality for Viewing and Editing Areas has been made obsolete by Google for FMS4 on November 16th, 2022 and has now been migrated to FMS5.
1. Access the Areas Editor via the buttons on FSE / FSO records
Start by searching for FSE / FSO records from the landing page
From the search results, you should see a new “Areas” button which will take you the the list of Areas defined for the FSE/FSO
2. Viewing the Areas for a FSE / FSO
You should see a list of defined Areas for the selected FSE / FSO
Editing Territory is restricted to Documents team and National office staff.
3. Adding a new Zone
In the Zone Details section, enter a Zone name then click on Add Zone
The new record will be added to the “Areas” list below
4 Editing an Area record
Click on the Edit button on the Area records to enter the Areas Editing page:
You can update the name and Area description here:
Hit Save to update the “Area Details”
4.1 Editing an Area record - By marking out an area on the maps editor (Geospaces)
You can Add or edit Geospaces under the “Geospaces” section
This will bring up the maps editor:
To save your changes, hit “Save Area” button below the map. to discard changes, hit “Exit”.
4.2 Editing an Area record - By uploading KML file
You can upload a KML file from google earth with a single polygon.
4.3 Editing an Area record - By defining postcodes (Not recommended for marking Territories)
4.4 Editing an Area record - By defining States (Not recommended for marking Territories)
4.5 Editing an Area record - By defining Suburbs (Not recommended for marking Territories)
5. Removing an Area
Authorized users can Delete an Area by using the Delete button.
