Success Tips
1. Upload a photo of yourself/business logo
We find that customers are more likely to choose contractors when they know what they look like. If possible, take a photo of yourself in your uniform/workwear or upload a photo of your logo so the customer can identify you. Research has shown that adding a headshot of a customer service representative can increase conversion rates by up to 20%.
To upload a photo, go to the "Account" panel and click "Choose file". You can then take a photo (if using a phone) or select a picture to upload. Once the picture has been selected you adjust to fit by moving the picture left/right and zooming in/out.
2. Update your current ABN
Customers will have more confidence in you as a provider if they can see your current ABN details.
Enter your ABN details under the "Account" panel on the Account Details page.
3. Call customers as soon as you get a lead
Ensure that you call the customer as soon as possible after receiving the lead. The quicker you call the higher the chance of winning the job. We give contractors a maximum of two hours to call in case they are physically unable to, but our research shows that you halve your chances of winning the lead after just 15 minutes. If the customer doesn’t answer, please leave a message but also follow up with a text. We find customers respond more readily to a text message than voice messages. If there is an email address supplied, please also send a quick email to the customer.
4. Give high-quality customer service
Give the best customer service you possibly can in every area – build your own personal brand with our customers. This will result in high ratings which will result in more leads.
5. Understand the bidding process
Take the time to read through the lead guide to fully understand how the bidding process works. Read the bidding guide here.
6. Add your credit/debit card to make bidding easy
To be visible to customers, you must have your credit/debit card details entered after your third free lead. You pay for leads immediately upon receiving them, so it’s imperative you have current card details in the system and enough funds in your account to cover the payments.
Enter your credit/debit card details under the "Payment and Billing" panel on the Account Details page.
7. Ask for assistance
